What you will be doing as an Employee Relations Manager…

  • Resolve employee relations issues and facilitate conflict resolution between employees and supervisors.
  • Investigate complaints such as harassment, discrimination, and unfair treatment.
  • Use independent judgment in conducting investigations, recommending resolutions, and preparing reports for HR Director approval.
  • Support management with employee performance issues, progressive discipline, and preparing HR/legal documentation.
  • Advise managers on labor laws, wage/hour compliance, and harassment/discrimination prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to employee management and reduce legal risks.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews.
  • Train leaders and staff on conflict resolution and the grievance process.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel and agencies as needed.
  • Develop and manage a complaint tracking system.
  • Oversee the employee ambassador program.
  • Perform other duties related to employee relations as needed.

Key Responsibilities of AP and HR Specialist:

  • Help maintain strong vendor relationships through timely payments and clear communication.
  • Streamline accounts payable processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, adhering to regulations.
  • Handling data entry for invoices and general ledger, from both internal and external systems.
  • Creating purchase orders as required.
  • Securing signatures on checks and managing printing processes.
  • Maintaining organized records by scanning and filing documents. 
  • Managing new employee onboarding via the PEO system, which involves requesting background checks and preparing Form I-9.
  • Collecting onboarding form packets from new hires and directing them to the relevant office personnel for filing.
  • Processing employee terminations within the PEO system and gathering necessary forms and exit checklists.
  • Sending reminders to staff periodically to ensure correct addresses and data are maintained in the PEO system.

Qualifications for AP and HR Specialist:

  • Completion of high school or equivalent education
  • Previous experience in accounts payable is required. HR experience is a plus, not a must. 
  • Excellent time management abilities with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in organizing, coordinating tasks, and multitasking, with the capacity to work independently
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding company and partner information
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse client base

Responsibilities include:

– Assist in all aspects of HR including employee relations, employee health and benefits, hiring and termination, company personnel policies and procedures

– Field questions and requests from employees regarding all HR related issues

– Maintain employee files

– Coordinate and facilitate the processing of disability and life insurance-related events and claims. Coordinate and facilitate the processing of FMLA leave. Ensure appropriate communication of leave initiation, changes, returns and terminations.

-Processing background checks & drug screens

– Organize and maintain current and terminated employee paperwork and files.

– Receive and send all unemployment claims to ADP; complete further information on unemployment claims if required.

– Maintain all 401K paperwork, including new enrollments, contribution changes, and withdrawals. Gather information and run reports for yearly 401K audits.

– Other various administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

– 3 to 5 years of administrative experience, preferably

– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi- task

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides Human Resources Management and support for all assigned represented and non-represented personnel. Counsels Managers, Supervisors and employees on all HR activities including salary administration, complaint resolution, investigations, discipline, and termination.

2. Supervision and leadership of the Administrative Services function including building services, receptionist duties, mail, invoicing, office moves, storage, copier and building general supplies.

3. Supports M & A activities for the corporation focusing on all Human Resources related issues including staffing, costing, comparative program analysis, site visits, and assigned transition issues.

4. Keeps current with operations and is involved in all HR activities to ensure consistent and fair application of policies and procedures as well as rules and regulations. Works with corporate and site management to develop tactics to maintain non-union status.

5. Leads expatriation, immigration and relocation activities for the corporation in conjunction with field HR personnel.

6. Coordinates development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.

7. Evaluates employee relations and workplace issues and meets with supervisors and managers to determine and implement effective remediation techniques to improve organization productivity.

8. Provides support of the administration of compensation and performance evaluation programs and initiatives.

9. Active participation with organization management and attends meetings of managers, supervisors, and work units to facilitate effective interpersonal communication among participants. Provides support and data to ensure better business decisions can be made.

10. Supports the corporate organizational, training and development initiatives including developing and conducting training to meet requirements.

11. Leads the gathering and analysis of HR related benchmarking and cost data with internal and external sources.

12. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations in the U.S. concerning employment and related human resource matters. Reviews & approves discipline and makes recommendations regarding discharge.

13. Responsible for assigned professional level recruiting and retention as well as provides assistance in recruiting and retention as needed.

14. Active leadership and participation in SAP HR systems development, implementation, training and roll-out activities as well as system enhancements and improvements.
