We are seeking a Division Controller to join a large revenue segment. This critical role involves managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. As our client gears up for an IPO, they aim to maintain the rigor and transparency of a public company.
Key Responsibilities of the Segment Controller:
- Lead the financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Oversee accounting operations, including job cost accounting, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and support external reporting requirements.
- Ensure SOX compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Oversee job-cost reviews to ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation.
- Partner with operations to analyze project performance and improve profitability.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications for the Segment Controller role:
- CPA required.
- 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with job cost accounting and project-based environments.
- Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
