Overview of the role:

• Perform/oversee the month‐end financial reporting process, including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Perform/oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to company procedures.
• Perform/oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes and preparation of budget‐to‐actual variance reports.

• Contribute to analytical needs in other areas of the organization, such as treasury, tax, and accounting.
• Assistance in the annual external audit process, including communicating directly with auditors, preparing requested materials and schedules, and drafting financials.
• Ensure all routine processes are clearly and accurately documented using company standard operating procedure templates.
• Effectively share supervisory responsibilities including hiring, performance management, and employee development of the Senior and Staff Accountant positions to facilitate the success of both the department and the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of seven (7) or more years of experience in accounting encompassing similar duties.
• Certified Public Accounting license (“CPA”) strongly preferred.
• Public accounting firm experience strongly preferred.
• Real estate and investment management experience preferred.
