My client is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team, and we will expedite this search to move quickly.

What will the Senior Accountant do?

The Senior Accountant will actively engage in full cycle accounting functions supporting the U.S. operations. We are looking for a strong Senior Accountant that can handle day-to-day accounting activities with minimal supervision.

Full Cycle Accounting responsibilities to include:

Work with Accounting Manager in preparation of complex and non-standard journal entries.

Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.

Prepare and file state sales tax. returns for all respective jurisdictions.

Prepare regular cash flow forecasts to assist with general cash management of U.S. operations.

Month End responsibilities include:

Maintain a timely and complete month-end process that aligns with corporate reporting deadlines.

Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations including sub ledger to general ledger reconciliations (AR, Fixed Assets, AP), share capital and intercompany reconciliations.

Prepare monthly working paper file with supporting documentation.

What we are looking for in the Senior Accountant:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

CPA Certification strongly preferred; public background preferred.

5+ years of relevant accounting experience including experience in Lease Accounting and Variance Analysis.
