| Industry News: We are 3 months into the new year and Houston is navigating its way out of one of the worst recessions of all time, not to mention the Winter Storm! To say Houstonians and Texas are fighters is an understatement. So let’s talk about some good news: The price of oil is above 60 dollars and climbing! This is such good news for all of Houston… even if we have to pay a little more at the pump. The job market is recovering and there are a lot more postings on job boards this year. We are seeing positions that were vacant finally being replaced, pay cuts are being reversed, furloughs are ending and as a State we finally have permission to operate at 100%. For a lot of businesses that means it is time to gear up and get ready! For a lot of candidates that means it’s time to get back on the job-hunt! The homebuilding and the mortgage industry are still doing really, really well. There are more buyers then there are homes I hear! Oil & Gas companies are turning the corner and there have been massive inflows of tech and software companies into the state. 2021 is on track to be an amazing year!
