Tax Associate needed!
CFS has partnered with a large financial institution based in Stamford to help find their next Tax Associate. This person will assist the existing tax team with various tax functions including preparing partnership and corporate federal, and state tax returns. This person will also maintain the company’s tax partnership book and tax capital accounts, perform tax technical research among other functions.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tax compliance and research functions essential to the preparation of partnership and corporate federal, state, and foreign income tax returns associated with the firm’s operating and management companies (e.g., Form 1065s, Schedule K-1s, Form 1120s, Form 5471s, Form 8858s, and Form 8865s)
- Assist in the preparation of partnership book and tax capital accounts
- Contribute to development and enhancement of technological systems and automation of standard processes, including tax provision, transfer pricing, tax return workpapers, investor tax estimate statements, and investor capital account reporting
- Assist in special projects such as internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, transfer pricing, and tax audits
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant Tax experience in public accounting or industry
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field
- CPA &/or Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- Prior experience with Partnership Tax returns
- Indirect and Direct Tax experience
- Familiarity with SAP is preferred
- Prior experience with Power Automate and Alteryx preferred
