About the Position

  • This is VERY broad role, where you will get your hands on a lot of things.

  • Monthly close which includes updating schedules
  • Quarter end and year-end close duties & schedules
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Prepare/update/create real estate schedules for tax department
  • Record sales/purchases of land and real estate assets
  • Record land conveyances
  • Prepare real estate budgets and update forecasts throughout the year
  • Prepare quarterly board reports
  • Fund accounting
    • Prepare quarterly PowerPoint report to update investors on investment performance (financials, projected distributions, etc.)
    • Capital calls/distributions (calculations, drafting letters, etc.)
  • Create rent invoices to send to tenants monthly
  • Track rental payments/receipts
  • Re-calculate, track, and code property taxes
  • Track property tax accounts for splits, new accounts, accounts getting taken out of our name once we sell
    • Calculate and track refunds for tax accounts that become tax exempt
    • Code invoices
  • Track outstanding MUD receivables in order to properly code when we receive portions of the receivable through bonding proceeds


– BBA Accounting
– 3 years General Accounting experience
– Real Estate industry experience preferred
