Responsibilities:
- Monthly close which includes updating schedules
- Quarter end and year-end close duties & schedules
- Prepare and enter journal entries
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare/update/create real estate schedules for tax department
- Record sales/purchases of land and real estate assets
- Record land conveyances
- Prepare real estate budgets and update forecasts throughout the year
- Prepare quarterly board reports
- Fund accounting
- Prepare quarterly PowerPoint report to update investors on investment performance (financials, projected distributions, etc.)
- Capital calls/distributions (calculations, drafting letters, etc.)
- Create rent invoices to send to tenants monthly
- Track rental payments/receipts
- Re-calculate, track, and code property taxes
- Track property tax accounts for splits, new accounts, accounts getting taken out of our name once we sell
- Calculate and track refunds for tax accounts that become tax exempt
- Code invoices
- Track outstanding MUD receivables in order to properly code when we receive portions of the receivable through bonding proceeds
Requirements:
– BBA Accounting
– 3 years General Accounting experience
– Real Estate industry experience preferred
