What the Financial Reporting Supervisor will do…

  • Responsible for the monthly accounting close process balancing timeliness and quality
  • Responsible for the integrity of the financial statements
  • Understands each person’s responsibilities within the accounting function and holds them accountable to ensure closing is done timely and accurately
  • Ownership of control procedures and related documentation
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Audit coordination and support (financial, insurance, sales tax)
  • Provide skills and process development to the accounting group members
  • Knowledgeable in accounting research ASC guidance or tax issues
  • Uses Excel formulas and pivot tables to work more efficiently
  • Always looks for ways to improve processes leveraging technology


What the company needs in a Financial Reporting Supervisor:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
  • CPA in process or completed
  • 2.5+ years at Big 4 or large regional CPA firm
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Self-manages and self-motivates
  • Always looks for ways to improve processes and status quo
  • Constantly takes feedback from staff and managers to understand key issues
  • Asks a lot of questions
