What the Financial Reporting Supervisor will do…
- Responsible for the monthly accounting close process balancing timeliness and quality
- Responsible for the integrity of the financial statements
- Understands each person’s responsibilities within the accounting function and holds them accountable to ensure closing is done timely and accurately
- Ownership of control procedures and related documentation
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Audit coordination and support (financial, insurance, sales tax)
- Provide skills and process development to the accounting group members
- Knowledgeable in accounting research ASC guidance or tax issues
- Uses Excel formulas and pivot tables to work more efficiently
- Always looks for ways to improve processes leveraging technology
What the company needs in a Financial Reporting Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
- CPA in process or completed
- 2.5+ years at Big 4 or large regional CPA firm
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Self-manages and self-motivates
- Always looks for ways to improve processes and status quo
