Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant:

  • Oversee tax compliance and planning for 60+ entities, ensuring adherence to tax statutes.
  • Prepare federal and state filings for diverse entities, including partnerships, S corporations, individuals, and trusts.
  • Calculate tax estimates, extensions, and withholdings; identify and manage tax risks.
  • Provide multi-year projections; contribute to ad hoc projects and research complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with legal, financial, and tax teams on entity-specific tax strategies.
  • Report to management weekly; drive process implementation and improvement.
  • Conduct research on federal, state, and sales tax matters.

Requirements of the Senior Tax Accountant:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
  • Possess 3-4 years of experience with multiple legal entities.
  • Public accounting experience preferred as well as expertise in partnership and multi-state matters.
  • Proficient in Go Systems/One Source and BNA Income Tax Planner.

What the Tax Analyst will do:
• Assist in the state tax provision process
• Prepare state tax payable/receivable reconciliations
• Prepare state tax returns, estimated tax payment and extensions
• Track state tax attributes including state NOLs and valuation allowance

 What the company needs in a Tax Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 1-2 years of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or corporate tax experience
• CPA Eligible or CPA Certified required
