Key Responsibilities for the Crude Oil Accountant:
• Manage full-cycle crude oil accounting including settlements, ticket processing, and month-end close
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in volumes and pricing
• Oversee severance tax filings and multi-state compliance
• Maintain contract, pricing, and lease data within accounting systems
• Prepare revenue distributions and support financial reporting
• Assist with mentoring junior staff and supporting accounting operations
Qualifications for the Crude Oil Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–5+ years of crude oil or energy accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with settlements, severance tax, and revenue distribution
