Key Responsibilities:
• Own all federal, state, and local tax compliance across multiple states
• Prepare and oversee income tax filings, franchise taxes, and contractor licensing requirements
• Manage state unemployment tax compliance and multi‑state registrations
• Maintain good standing with top project states and ensure compliance across all active jurisdictions
• Oversee monthly tax entries, estimates, and close‑related tax activities
• Act as primary liaison and manager of the third‑party accounting and tax firm
• Support accounting close with tax-related guidance, including deferred tax assets and liabilities
Qualifications for the Tax Manager:
• 3–10 years of progressive tax experience, ideally within construction or contracting environments
• Strong multi‑state tax compliance experience (state, local, and federal)
