Responsibilities:

1. Financial Ownership of P&L and Balance Sheet: Take full responsibility for the financial health of the Residential BU, including the Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet. Exercise financial stewardship and implement strategies to drive profitability and financial growth.
2. Enhanced P&L Analysis and Reporting: Develop and implement advanced P&L analysis and reporting structures that support business growth through customer-focused strategies and optimized channels.
3. Strategic Oversight and Guidance: Track, monitor, and guide the overall accounting operation, taking a strategic approach to ensure the team’s success. Provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data and analysis.
4. Lead Audit Engagement: Serve as the primary person leading audit engagements, leveraging experience in previous closes to assist the accounting manager in efficiently leading the close process. This allows the accounting manager to focus on other critical tasks.
5. Detailed P&L Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and reporting on P&L variances, identifying key drivers and performance metrics. Use these insights to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making processes.
6. AP Automation Project Leadership: Lead the AP automation project, taking charge of its successful implementation and integration within the accounting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition and increased operational efficiency.
7. Oversee Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting: Supervise and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of physical inventory and cycle counting processes. Implement best practices to maintain optimal inventory management.
8. Management of a Large Accounting Team: Lead a team of 40-50 accounting professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their productivity, professional growth, and alignment with company goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, providing a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Previous experience in accounting roles, demonstrating a thorough understanding of financial operations and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with the CFO, management team, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities, enabling comprehensive financial analysis and informed decision-making.
