What you will be doing….
- Manage accounting team including accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk, payroll accountant, and a senior staff accountant
- Create quarterly budgets and projections
- Prepare accurate, timely consolidated financial statements each month
- Review monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and any issues
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Prepare quarterly debt covenant calculations
- Coordinate preparation of monthly FINRA FOCUS filings
- Reconcile cash accounts daily
- Review and authorize bill payments and employee expense reports
- Coordinate annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits and working with tax preparers
- Review and supervise the semi-monthly payroll
- Collaborate with third-party administrator and review and process monthly distributions related to the advisor’s proprietary investment vehicles
- Proactively shares ideas and contributes ongoing suggestions for enhancement of the Firm
What you need to bring to the table….
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA required
- 8-10 years experience in general or tax accounting
- Experience with computerized ledger systems
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team player with leadership qualities
- Ability to collaborate and work well with all levels of the organization
