THE TAX ACCOUNTANT

Creative Financial Staffing has recently partnered with a large wholesale petroleum company headquartered in Houston, TX. The company has big growth plans and needs a strong Tax Accountant to help them. This role involves handling working with several State and Local authorities to resolve tax issues, Motor Fuel Excise Tax, and Sales and Use tax.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Motor Fuel Excise Tax filings
• Sales and Use Tax filings
• Work with State taxing authorities

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1 to 3 years of Motor Fuel Excise Tax experience
• Sales and Use Tax experience
• SAP experience (FICO) preferred.
• Highly proficient in advanced MS Excel (pivot tables / vlookup) and Word
• Ability to research and document technical accounting matters
