Job description:
Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 base

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Supervise daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Assign workloads, monitor team performance, and support deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Mentor, train, and support development of AP team members.
- Review and approve complex or high-value transactions.
- Oversee invoice coding, approvals, and payment processing (ACH, check, wire).
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve escalated discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure account accuracy.
- Prepare AP reports, aging reports, and performance metrics.
Qualifications of the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage experience is a plus).
- Distribution or similar industry experience is a plus.
