Pay rate: 45/hour

Location: Downtown Houston

What You’ll Do as a Senior Accountant:

• Full cycle general ledger accounting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage and perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support and actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes
• Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and internal stakeholders
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or CPA – eligible strongly preferred
• 3 – 6+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Oil and Gas or energy industry experience is a plus
