Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager
• Produce financial reporting packages and oversee all month-end close activities
• Complete weekly and monthly journal entries
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three
• Manage payroll processing and ensure all deposits, taxes, and filings are completed accurately
• Handle sales tax filings, workers’ compensation reporting, and related compliance needs
• Manage cash flow, including AR collections and AP planning
• Respond to audits and prepare required financial documentation
• Partner with the CPA firm on year-end financials and tax filings
• Support job-cost and billing functions, including AIA processes
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager
• Experience in construction accounting required
(AIA billings, job costing, contractor relationships)
• Strong understanding of payroll, compliance, and multi-layered reporting
• Ability to lead and mentor a small team in a high-volume accounting environment
