WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: The incumbent is a deputy to the Controller, performing complex accounting, technical, financial, supervisory, management, and administrative duties, and provides planning, coordination, and accountability for large, complex projects in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee functions like accounts payable, grants accounting, capital assets, financial software liaison, general ledger, IT liaison, cash reconciliations, financial reporting, and office management. Schedule, assign, direct, and review these functions.
• Interview, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline staff per policies.
• Prepare/review reconciliations, reports, statements, and schedules, ensuring data integrity through self-audit and analysis.
• Assist with fiscal year-end tasks, audits, and financial statement preparation.
• Deliver training and information sessions.
• Manage projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, from an accredited institution or program, CPA is preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or audit role
• General ledger experience and internal and external financial reporting experience is required. Experience in Government Accounting is preferred
• 2 years’ supervisory experience is required
• Experience with accounting systems and with Excel

SALARY: 100 TO 110k
