Responsibilities For This Role

• Responsible for the fixed asset subledger, chart of accounts, and being the subject matter expert on the capitalization policy
• Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system
• Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
• Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets
• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience as a Fixed Asset Accountant in the utility industry
• Comfortable working in a 100% remote working environment

Preferred Job Qualifications

• CPA
• MBA
• Audit experience at a Big 4 firm or regional public accounting firm
