Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant include:
- Tax Expertise: Take the lead in tax compliance and planning for 60+ diverse entities, ensuring strict adherence to tax statutes.
- Complex Filings: Handle complex federal and state filings for partnerships, S corporations, individuals, and trusts, including tax estimates, extensions, and withholdings.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate tax risks, providing invaluable support for our financial stability.
- Strategic Planning: Develop multi-year projections for individuals and trusts, driving strategic financial decision-making.
- Project Diversity: Engage in dynamic ad hoc projects, conducting thorough research and analysis of complex business transactions and tax implications.
- Collaborative Excellence: Collaborate with our team of legal, financial, and tax experts to shape innovative tax strategies for various entities and projects.
- Reporting Prowess: Report weekly to management, playing a pivotal role in our ongoing success.

Requirements of the Senior Tax Accountant:
- Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing multiple legal entities, with a focus on partnerships and multi-state environments. Minimum of 3 years in public accounting.
- Tech Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise with tools like Go Systems/One Source and BNA Income Tax Planner, and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-Oriented: Thrive in detail-oriented tasks, efficiently manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent research and communication skills, facilitating seamless collaboration with a cohesive tax team and other departments.
