About the Role: As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting, finance, and reporting functions across a diverse range of legal entities. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting and Finance, you will collaborate with a network of professionals including attorneys, auditors, brokers, and more. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide spectrum of tasks, from maintaining the general ledger and performing monthly close activities to collaborating on special projects and aiding in tax preparations.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Oversee general ledger maintenance, monthly close activities, and financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate and process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Manage treasury activities, ensuring optimal cash flow and investment strategies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining strong internal controls.
• Collaborate on tax-related tasks, including K-1 preparation and tax return assistance.
• Participate in intricate financial modeling for potential acquisitions and derivative trading.
• Provide insights through analysis of complex financial data and operational variances.
• Contribute to ongoing entity formation and corporate governance efforts.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong grasp of financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and accounting.
• Sound knowledge of US GAAP, familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
• Ability to dissect complex business issues through diligent research and analysis.
