Industry News and Updates

Busy, busy, busy…that is all I have to say. What a great start to 2014 we have experienced so far! It seems like clients old and new are coming out of the wood work wanting to hire great Accountants and Finance professionals. I don’t think there is any doubt that Houston has been doing very well overall, but here is what I have observed so far: There are a lot of newly created positions and most of them revolve around analysis. Several of our clients are hiring Financial / Operational Analysts and/ or FP&A Managers. Again, these are newly created positions to help companies evaluate, improve and hopefully add money to the bottom line. I have never seen so many analytical type roles on my desk at the same time. We are also seeing a lot of movement at the Controller level. There are several companies that are simply outgrowing their current Controllers and need to “upgrade”. Overall this report is very positive again!
