MMS Specialist Role:

Pay and Report on Federal and Indian Leases

Respond to Audit and Compliance letters

Familiar with Federal Units, Leases and Communitization Agreements

Review division of interest changes received from Land Administration to insure decks are set up to correctly pay on Federal and Indian leases

Monitor and reconcile various payable accounts to insure accruals and payments are correct.

Stay current on all laws and regulations pertaining to Federal and Indian Leases.

Mentor other staff members on rules and regulations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting desired.  Degree in business related field will also be considered.

5+ years of MMS/ONRR hands on experience required. 

 Excellent communication skills.  Ability to communicate information with respect to ONRR Reporting to outside agencies.

Ability to work effectively with others in the organization and to consistently and accurately meet rigorous deadlines.

Demonstrated analytical skills.

Proficient knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word.  Knowledge of Microsoft Access, AS400 system and Queries a plus.
