Revenue Accountant Role 80 to 90K – Pittsburgh – Relo Package

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

  • Verify gas, oil, and water volumes and fuel usage and allocate to all properties accordingly.
  • Process all revenue transactions in the Production Accounting System (PAS) and oversee the distribution of checks and statements to working interest owners and royalty owners on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Land Department on new well set-up and Division of Interest (DOI) maintenance. Also, handle all check cancellations, escrow release and reconciliation, and DOI amendments.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal departments (Gas Marketing, Operations, Land and Finance) and external stakeholders (Landowners and JV Partners).
  • Prepare General Ledger reconciliations and journal vouchers for assigned accounts on a monthly basis and adhere to internal controls and SOX compliance in all activities.
  • Complete and submit regulatory reports and severance tax filings as required by government agencies and assist with annual reserve reporting.
  • Perform variance trending and support Operations in review of property results vs. estimates and budget.

Qualifications:

  • Business degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of E&P revenue accounting experience is required
  • Experience with multiple products (gas, NGL and oil) is preferred 
  • Experience with SAP would be beneficial
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact effectively with different areas of the organization (a team player)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and lookups)
